Transfer of Customer Consignment Stock between 2 Customers via MIGO

 Scenario:

Transfer of Consignment Stock between 2 Customers via MIGO

Here I am providing the details as SAP suggested via OSS Note 1837299 - Unable to Transfer of Consignment Stock between 2 Customers - SAP ONE Support Launchpad

Reproducing the Issue:

·       We have e.g. 10 units of the material A in consignment stock of customer X (stock table MSKU - Special Stocks with Customer).

·       Then we want to transfer these 10 units to the consignment stock of customer Y.

·       Using the transaction MB1B /MIGO_TR/MIGO there is no option to specify the receiving customer.

Root Cause:

·       Table MSEG does not support this kind of transfer since there is only one customer number field in MSEG (MSEG-KUNNR).

·       The table MSEG does not have sender/receiver customer number fields that would be necessary to carry out such movement.

·       In case of customer consignment stock there is no option to enter an issuing customer different than a receiving customer since there is no field in the table MSEG for two customer numbers.

·       So It is not possible to transfer customer consignment stock directly to another customer consignment stock.

Resolution:

561 W Receipt per initial entry of stock balance to unrestricted consignment at customer

562 W Receipt per initial entry of stock balance to unrestricted consignment at customer - reversal

The transfer posting has to be made in two steps:

First, post a 562 movement with special stock W to issue the customer consignment stock from customer X.

Then, post a 561 movement with special stock W to receive the customer consignment stock to customer Y.

It is, therefore, necessary, to post two different goods movements to get this transfer made.

We should check with FI side whether they agree or not to use movement types (MT) 561/562 as this is shall be used only for stock migrations.

If FI side not agree, we should create new Z movement types similar 561/562 for this scenario.
