Time Zone issue between Shipment Date and Delivery Date in the Outbound Delivery

Issue:

In outbound delivery, we find that the time zones between shipment date and delivery date are different. We want to know how system considers time zone for the two fields.

 

Reproducing the Issue

Ø  Go to Outbound Logistics Work Center.

Ø  Navigate to Outbound Deliveries View.

Ø  Search for outbound delivery XXX.

Ø  Edit it and we find that the time zones between shipment date and delivery date are different.

Solution

Ø  For Shipment Date, it considers the time zone of the Site Calendar.

Ø  For Delivery Date, it considers the time zone of Ship-to-location, instead of the time zone which set by user in account.

Moreover, The Delivery Date is stored in the backend in UTC.  In reports, data sources provided dates in UTC format due to this we are seeing UTC data instead of your time format.
