SAP Fiori
SAP Fiori is the common design
paradigm for SAP. The SAP Fiori design language affects the appearance of everything in
SAP, not just the interface of the new SAP S/4HANA system.
SAP Fiori Design Principles
The 5 design principles of SAP Fiori
form the core of every SAP Fiori application to achieve these goals:
A role-based user
experience means that end users get all the information and functionality they need for
their daily work-but nothing more. By comparison, the classic SAP user interface often provides a
single complex transaction for many user roles.
SAP Fiori breaks these large
transactions down into several discrete applications tailored to user roles.
All apps are interconnected so that all tasks of the transaction can still be performed. However, they
are only executed when the user really wants to perform them. The SAP Fiori launchpad then serves as a central
entry point for all the user's apps.
The application interface is responsive
and adapts to the size and device of the user accessing it.
The application is simple: one user, one use case, and up to
three screens for each application.
Applications are developed with a coherent structure. All
applications speak the same language and can be implemented in
multiple landscapes and environments.
Instant value is gained through low barriers to
adoption, both on the IT system side and on the user
acceptance side.
SAP Fiori for SAP S/4HANA
SAP Fiori for SAP S/4HANA refers
specifically to the applications available for the system. SAP
development teams are constantly creating new native applications for SAP
Fiori, replacing the traditional and usually more complex SAP GUI applications that SAP
S/4HANA has inherited. The native applications can also use all the new technologies available with SAP
S/4HANA, such as conversational UI, machine learning, and so on.
Transactional apps offer task-based access to functions such as changing, creating, and displaying data (e.g., documents, master records) or to entire processes with guided navigation.
Analytical apps provide insight into the actions. They are detailed reports used to drill down to finer details, for example, and they give you a visual overview of complex issues for monitoring or tracking.
• Factsheets
These apps give you the
opportunity to search and explore your data. They provide a 360-degree view of
essential information about an object (e.g., master data or
documents) and contextual navigation between related objects.
